Welcome to the Justice Journey™

A Mother's Fight for Truth, Rights, and Reform

I wasn’t just silenced, I was erased.

In 2015, my life changed forever.

What started as a hospital visit turned into a nightmare. A misdiagnosis led to the removal of first-born child, my baby girl and then my second born, my baby boy.

Both my children were removed, not because of abuse or neglect, but because a system failed to listen, investigate, or correct its mistakes.

Mistake or malpractice? Either way, the hospital amended its records. to reflect that there was on fracture, but the court never recognized and continued as if the errors weren't ever addressed,

In 2015, my daughter was examined by a medical professional at a healthcare facility after presenting with certain marks and injuries.

Among the injuries reported were blisters from a bug bite, which was ruptured by hospital staff and appeared like a burn due to the way the blister was popped. Additionally, there were scratches on the skin, which I explained came from the baby's own nails, and a bruise on the child’s torso, which resulted from an incident involving the safety belt involving a Bumbo toy and mom accidentally pinching the baby while buckling her up.

Despite providing clear explanations for these injuries and showing them to both the social worker and the detective involved in the case, these marks were misinterpreted. The original medical report led to the diagnosis of multiple fractures. However, after the same hospital re-evaluated the situation, it was found that there were fewer fractures than initially reported, one to be exact and many of the marks were easily explained by non-abusive causes.

Despite this corrected medical assessment, the initial findings were still used as the basis for the decision to remove my child from my care.
