Second run for Custody
The story they didn't want to be told
Every Sunday, the family would have the opportunity to spend time with their relative at the home of his maternal grandmother. They enjoyed outings such as meals, birthday celebrations, shopping, fishing trips, park visits, and more. As the child grew older, he became curious about why he was not living with his biological mother and instead resided with a different relative. When he asked, his mother would often change the subject, not offering him an explanation.
Desiring more time with her child, the mother inquired about possible changes to the current arrangement with the relative’s custodial family. The response was to pursue legal action if she was unhappy with the arrangement.
On April 10, 2021, the child requested to speak with his father. The call was made, but the custodian falsely claimed that the child had not spoken to his father in years. The custodial relative then stopped visitations without any court order and hired an attorney, alleging that the mother was encouraging the child to disobey the custodian and discuss matters she should not be discussing. This was not accurate, as when the child asked his mother these questions, she would simply change the subject.
On April 20, 2021, the attorney sent a letter to the mother, informing her that visitations were being suspended on behalf of the custodial family.

After several months of the custodian repeatedly canceling visitations, the mother filed a petition for custody and visitation on September 2, 2021, seeking full custody of her child. She took this step because the custodian was actively attempting to keep her and her child apart.
During the case, the custodian made multiple false statements, which were presented in an effort to persuade the judge to rule in her favor.
