December 2, 2015
On December 2, 2015, the doctors at University of Kentucky conducted another pediatric survey, comparing it to the previous day’s findings from 12/01/2015.
The new survey revealed:
A right posterolateral fifth rib, consistent with a healing fracture.
A distal right tibia fracture was also confirmed.
The fractures that were previously identified in the other ribs were no longer evident on the new scans, indicating that these injuries were either misidentified or did not exist.
The Ongoing Investigation and Hospital Stay
Despite these new findings, the hospital continued to bandage and cast my child, and we were not informed of the updated results regarding the missing rib fractures.
Instead of being notified that the rib fractures were not present, the investigation continued as if the previous findings were accurate.
My daughter was splinted and bandaged, and we were told that we could not take her out of the hospital. Meanwhile, detectives and social workers spent the day questioning us, conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding her injuries.
Everyone involved, including us, kept asking the same question:
What happened to my child?
