December 3, 2015
By December 3, 2015, hospital staff and law enforcement continued to claim that there were no answers regarding the alleged fractures. Despite providing them with the information they requested, it became clear that what we were presenting didn’t fit into the narrative they were trying to create.
A social worker at the hospital made the false claim that no other family members were available to care for the child. This was untrue. There were indeed several qualified family members, including nurses, correctional officers, and medical professionals, who could have taken in the child and provided proper care.
All while knowing the fractures were not there. This was dicovered Day 1 and clarified on Day 2.

The Inadequate Evaluation at the Hospital
The hospital staff did not conduct a thorough evaluation of my child, even though she had been in the accident and was in the car with other injured passengers. This was a serious oversight, especially considering that my child was only four months old and could have been at risk for internal injuries from the crash.
Around 4-6 weeks later, when we visited the University of Kentucky hospital for the issues with her foot, it was revealed that my child had suffered a 5th rib fracture, a fracture that was consistent with being 4-6 weeks old, it happened during the car accident.
On October 21, 2015, my child, her aunt, her grandmother and I were all involved in a car accident. The accident was severe, with the car being totaled, and all of the adults in the vehicle were injured. However, my child was not evaluated properly by the hospital after the accident. Despite the fact that she was just a four-month-old baby involved in the crash, the hospital failed to perform an X-ray or provide the necessary examination to ensure her safety and well-being.
Covering Up the Lack of Evaluation
When her mother explained the car accident to the medical staff, they initially acknowledged one rib fracture. However, once the situation was discussed, they disclosed that there were additional fractures discovered.
Despite this, UK still does not have records for my child’s treatment to this day, which raises serious concerns about how the situation was handled.
The hospital’s response to the car accident was troubling. They claimed that my child couldn't have been in the car accident, citing the absence of records on the date of the incident.
This meant that the necessary evaluation and medical examination were never performed, and the lack of documentation added to the confusion and mistrust regarding the situation.
